Visiting Services

11 Dec 2024

headspace Cannington would like to acknowledge the contributions of our visiting services to the centre:

Lifeline: provides face-to-face counselling at headspace Cannington for young people experiencing grief if it is the main factor contributing to their mental health difficulties. Lifeline supports young people who have experienced a death, relationship breakdown, or separation in their immediate family or close extended family.

Palmerston Association: supports young people who are using alcohol and other drugs or affected by family members who are using alcohol and other drugs through face-to-face counselling at headspace Cannington. The young person must actively want to learn more about alcohol and other drugs or to cease or reduce their use of alcohol and other drugs.

Youth Axis: provides an early intervention service for young people aged 16 to 24 who present with ultra-high risk of psychosis and/or features of an emotionally unstable personality disorder. Youth Axis targets young people who have not had extensive treatment by a specialist mental health service for these presenting problems, and will see people for up to six months.
