The Community Engagement Team was recently supported by a student from Curtin University.
The student provided feedback on her experience, stating: "The headspace team has provided a safe and supportive environment for me, as a work experience student. I really enjoyed working and observing the community engagement team building meaningful relationships with the community."
The Community Engagement student helped facilitate workshops at local schools and conversations at Spill the Beans. She came up with the creative idea to run a session creating vision boards for 2025 using scrapbooking supplies, and this session received positive feedback.
The student also helped create the Cultural Footprints project in the waiting room to celebrate cultural diversity and young people's favourite things about their country or religion.
If you wish to apply for a student placement, please email reception@headspacecannington.com.au. Any student applications will need to be made in conjunction with a valid Working with Children Check and updated criminal history record.
