Student Placements and Volunteering
At headspace Cannington we like to foster education and learning opportunities through volunteering and individual student placements from clinical and non-clinical disciplines where possible.
Those wishing to enquire about student placements and volunteering need to make it clear if they wish to undertake unpaid volunteering work or to fulfil hours required to complete coursework.
Student Placements
Please note that as of May 2025, headspace Cannington is at capacity for student placements for 2025. Applications for student placements will be accepted from 1 October 2025.
Student placement enquiries from non-clinical disciplines (such as Health Sciences, Project Management, and Health Promotion) and those completing Diplomas and Certificates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Please note the following requirements when enquiring about a student placement:
- Student placement enquiries should be made by the university or registered training organisation, and we require a signed placement agreement from the training organisation.
- Include details of placement hours, structure, and required outcomes.
- Attach a valid Working with Children Check and updated criminal history record.
- Send your enquiry including the above to reception@headspacecannington.com.au.
