Tell me about the role……

The Be You Contact Liaison Officer (Clinical) will work under the direction of the State/Territory Manager to support schools through the delivery of the Be You Bushfire strategy to Australian primary and secondary schools within the bushfire impacted areas.

The incumbent will work directly to support school communities to develop recovery action plans or undertake other activities to assist the school community on their recovery journey.

The role will contribute to the establishment and successful delivery of timely and evidence based postvention support to school communities to assist them to plan, respond and recover.                          

Who are we looking for?

The Be You Contact Liaison Officer (Clinical) will be an experienced, clinically qualified mental health professional providing expert advice and support to primary and secondary schools.

The position calls for an individual who can engage, liaise and negotiate with a broad range of stakeholders and organisations; whilst displaying outstanding clinical skills and maintaining a supportive relationship with prospective and participating schools.

A tertiary qualification in an approved allied health discipline and eligibility for membership with the appropriate professional body is essential. Proven clinical skills in the provision of mental health care to young people including risk assessments, appropriate referral, support and liaison with family and other networks will be required to succeed in this role.

This role requires the consultant to have the ability to work independently and within a team and willingness to travel intra state and interstate with short a notice period.

Based in SA, NSW, VIC a full time role with competitive salary ($70,000 - $90,000) plus car allowance and generous salary packaging benefits. Remuneration is dependent on skills and experience.

This role is offered until 30 June 2021 in line with our funding term.
