headspace Geelong has proudly committed to the Financial Inclusion Action Plan for 2023-2025 through Good Sheppard.

The Financial Inclusion Action Plan is an innovative, cross sectoral program that enables organisations across diverse sectors to combine forces to enhance financial inclusion, resilience, and wellbeing in Australia.

This plan is around putting in place real, practical initiatives that will support financially vulnerable people facing challenges such as losing a job and understanding how to access safe, reliable assistance and information.

headspace Geelong is proud to have committed to three actions that focus on enhancing financial capabilities in our young people that will assist them in knowing where to turn if they experience financial hardship.

Our aim is to continue to build on these actions to include supporting the young people we service, their families and community, as well as our staff in financial literacy and capabilities in the coming years.

We know that financial hardship can affect anyone and have significant impacts on people's mental and physical health and wellbeing which is why it is vital that we continue to work together to provide genuine support for those who need it.

Seeking support and taking steps to manage finances can help alleviate financial stress and improve overall wellbeing.
