Are you a parent, carer, or close friend supporting a young person (aged 12-25) navigating mental health challenges?

Do you want to provide feedback and help us create a more supportive and inclusive environment for young people facing these struggles? If so, we want you!

headspace Dandenong is looking for passionate individuals like you to join our vibrant Family & Friends Reference Group. This dedicated group plays a crucial role in shaping our services to better support young people and their families in our community.

Imagine:

• Sharing your experiences and supporting headspace to improve our services to help young people. 
• Meeting families and friends from different backgrounds and making headspace more welcoming.
• Helping with projects like reducing stigma and teaching about mental health.
• Speaking up for families and friends at meetings.
• Learning and growing with others while gaining valuable knowledge about youth mental health.

We're looking for:

• People who support a young person through headspace (not the young person themself).
• People who care about youth mental health and how families and friends can help.
• People who value everyone and can work together respectfully.
• Good communicators who can work well in a team.
• People who can attend meetings every 3 months and chat regularly by phone, email, or online.

This is a volunteer opportunity for 1 year. We offer training and support to help you feel confident.
