Term One can be hectic for staff getting back into routine, but this is a good time to be reminded about looking after your mental health and wellbeing in 2017. As the year progresses challenges and stressors can arise, which may start to impact your daily life.
Being proactive about managing stress can really improve your resilience, energy levels and also enjoyment of teaching. It can be easy to find time in the week to exercise, but headspace wants to encourage education staff to allocate time to do things that improve your mental health and wellbeing. This includes being brave enough to seek help when you’re feeling low, stressed, or less resilient than normal.
