United Nations Australian Youth Representative Shea Spierings visits headspace Meadowbrook

At the end of March 2015, headspace Meadowbrook's Youth Reference Group joined forces  with members of the Logan Youth Arm, and young people from MYQ to take part in an exciting consultation led by Australian UN Youth Representative, Shea Spierings.
During the consultation, the young people present took the lead in discussing issues important to them, including mental health, cultural harmony, fair resource distribution and social media.

It was an incredible opportunity having the voices of young people in our community heard, and to know that their ideas, concerns, solutions and priorities will be shared with the international community at the 70th sitting of the United Nations General Assembly in New York later this year.

Thanks again Shea for an unforgettable afternoon!
