National Youth Week

National Youth Week is an annual, week-long celebration of young people (aged 12–25) throughout Australia. It gives young people an opportunity to express their ideas and views, and act on issues that affect their lives. National Youth Week 2016 will be held from 8 April to 17 April 2016.

headspace Knox kicked off National Youth Week with a retro gaming competition. The afternoon was spent traveling through time battling it out for supremacy in the virtual world. Samuel became the inaugural headspace Knox gaming champion, taking home a $50 EB GAMES voucher, while Thomas was the victor of the fiercely contested Pac-Man round.

In the lead up to National Youth Week, headspace Knox searched high and low for creative young people for an artistic exhibition at our centre. You are formally invited to headspace Knox’s National Youth Week Art Exhibition that is proudly showcasing works produced by local young people of the Outer East. The exhibition is open during regular centre opening hours and will close on Monday April 18th.  If you cannot attend in person, keep an eye on our Facebook page over the week for all the artwork.

National Youth Week is your week - how will you celebrate it?
