beyondblue on Facebook

Beyond Blue have partnered with Facebook to create an important online reporting tool for people who may be going through a tough time.

If you’re concerned about a friend on Facebook, we ask that you report their post. The next time they open Facebook they’ll be offered resources, advice and support options; start a conversation with a friend, a beyondblue or headspace mental health professional, some useful coping strategies and a tool to find offline mental health support.

The Facebook team reviews all reports that come in and prioritises the most serious reports like self-harm and suicide – and sends help and resources to those in distress. Reporting is anonymous and all conversations are private.

For more info on how to have a conversation with someone you’re worried about, please visit: bb.org.au/supporttoolfb. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or emergency services. www.facebook.com/beyondblue
