headspace Albany has a great new piece of artwork for the front of our centre.  Earlier this year all headspace centres received a piece of art specifically designed by Riki Salam about the importance of connecting Mind-body -spirit and this connection for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families. As well as localised Acknowledgement plaques to place inside our centre, welcoming people.

While the artwork is amazing and inside the centre, we wanted to make sure people passing by knew that headspace Albany was a safe place for all young people so decided to get our Acknowledgement of Country on the front door as people walk by and come for their first appointment...and then we took it an extra step and incorporated the new Yarnsafe graphic elements into our front windows.

We hope that the people of Albany love the artwork as much as we do.  We thank Craig at Albany Signs for his great collaboration and professionalism in completing this job for headspace Albany.

The connected spirit symbol represents a deeper connection and relationship to Country, Family, Ancestors cultural law and respect for all living creatures.
