Role Overview:

• Provide high standard of occupational therapy, assessment, recovery focused and evidence based individual and group therapy/interventions of young persons aged 12-25 years experiencing physical and mental health issues
• Responsible for ensuring that appropriate treatment strategies are conducted in consultation with young people of the service, and that outcome measures are routinely gathered.
• Motivating and assisting young people using an enabling, client centred approach.
• Observing, reporting and documenting changes in individual or group behaviours.
• Liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders
• Creating treatment plans alongside a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work with young people from divers backgrounds including culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
• Respond to health concerns presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate
• Encourage and support young people to engage with sexual health and drug and alcohol services as well as preventative health care

Requirements:

• Current registration with AHPRA
• Professional Indemnity Insurance
• A commitment to quality youth-focused mental health care services to those accessing the centre
• Eligibility to provide services under Medicare and be willing to Bulk Bill
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Criminal Record Check
