The role of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Online Peer Support Moderator sits within the headspace National ‘eheadspace’ team.
eheadspace is a dynamic and innovative service which provides nationwide clinical mental health support online and via telephone from qualified mental health professional to young people and their families.
Working remotely, theAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Online Peer Support Moderator provides a unique opportunity to help create new ways to include more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, and their family and friends, to utilise ‘Yarnspace, part of the new headspace online community.
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Online Peer Support Moderator will report to the Online Community and Digital Coordinator , with a minimum expected monthly commitment of eight (8) hours, split over alternative fortnightly Thursday evenings. All necessary training will be provided to successful applicants.
Who are we looking for?

As a young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person, you bring to the role in-depth knowledge of, and passion for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth mental health. More than that, you have both the ability and willingness represent the community’s voice in future product development and design to enhance the user experience.
You enjoy the ability to work in a team and actively participate in group discussions that seek to cultivate a respectful and issues-based community culture. You demonstrate good written communication and are able to operate in a fast paced, changing environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
You relish the opportunity to make a difference to the landscape for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people across Australia.
