At headspace, we rely on community and corporate support to assist us in our work of supporting any young person going through a tough time. We're privileged to work in partnership with some of Australia's leading organisation to help support young people and raise awareness of our work.
National Rugby League (NRL)
In addition to headspace being one of the NRL State of Mind campaign partners, the headspace Yarn Safe campaign has received support from the NRL players Joel Thompson and Dane Gagai. Both have promoting the initiative as part of the NRL's Indigenous Round. headspace is also working with the NRL on its Grass Roots Education Program that will be delivered to 40 local clubs in 2016.
REST Industry Super
Since 2013, our partnership with REST Industry Super has assisted headspace in the area of community awareness and engagement. REST Industry Super has supported headspace at the Groovin the Moo festivals in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. In addition to Groovin the Moo, REST Industry Super has supported the production of the headspace Stories Series.
Strike Bowling Bar
headspace has been chosen by Strike Bowling Bar as its Charity of Choice for 2016. This partnership will see selected headspace centres linked up with their local Strike Bowling Bars and Strike will support these centres through awareness and fundraising activities.
headspace has been working with the Supré Foundation to empower young women to take a stand against bullying behaviour. Through the sale of Supré Foundation products in Supré stores, funds have been raised to enable headspace centres deliver a number of anti-bully programs aimed at young women.
Viva Energy Australia
In 2016, headspace and Viva Energy Australia embarked on a national partnership that aims to create role models in communities across Australia. Through Viva Energy Australia's support, a number of headspace centres in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria will be creating opportunities for 12-25 year olds to become role models and mental health advocates in their local communities.
Future Generation Global Investment Company
FGG supports the headspace Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traineeship Program. This program contributes to the development of a sustainable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mental health and wellbeing workforce in regional and remote areas of Australia, ensuring all young people can access culturally relevant, appropriate and effective mental health services.
Media Partner – VICE
headspace and VICE have joined together for a 12-month editorial partnership. This partnership will create content on various aspects of mental health affecting young people on a hub called ‘That Feeling When’, raising awareness, as well as help-seeking and service access messaging.
